Allied health
An AI receptionist that books into Halaxy.
Halaxy handles your books and your billing well. What it cannot do is pick up the phone when a patient rings during a session. An AI receptionist takes those calls, works out what the caller needs, and writes the appointment into the same Halaxy diary your team is already working from.
The connection
Halaxy is a Melbourne-built practice management and online booking platform used by allied health practitioners and medical practices across Australia. It publishes a public API built on FHIR, the international standard for exchanging health information.
Direct write
Halaxy publishes developer documentation at developers.halaxy.com, built on FHIR, with endpoints to create, read and update appointments plus webhooks for real-time updates. It is one of the cleaner systems to connect to, so a booking taken on the phone can land in your diary during the call. Two practical notes: the API is a paid Halaxy subscription (currently 150 credits per month, with a 30 day free trial), and access is controlled by you through Halaxy's API Key Manager, so you generate a key scoped to exactly the data you want to share and can revoke it at any time. There is no vendor approval sitting between you and getting started.
We do not sell a certified marketplace app for this system. What we build is scoped to your practice during the build, and we tell you where the limits are before you commit. See how we classify every system.
On the phone
- New patient enquiries, including which practitioner and appointment type they need
- Booking, rescheduling and cancellation requests written against your real availability
- After-hours and weekend calls that would otherwise hit voicemail
- Overflow when both lines ring at once or your front desk is with a patient
- Taking a structured message when a call genuinely needs a human
The build
Inspect
We look at what you already run, how your books are structured, which appointment types exist, and where your team currently loses time. No assumptions and no template.
Connect
We connect the agent to your system at the deepest level that vendor supports, and tell you plainly which of the three levels that is before you commit to anything.
Script
The agent learns your appointment types, your practitioners, your hours, and the questions your front desk actually gets asked. A clinic agent does not sound like a plumbing agent.
Calibrate
Every month we review what the agent handled, what it got wrong, and what changed in your practice, then adjust. Calibration is part of the product, not an upsell.
